Island Glow Facial (Dermaplaning)
This facial targets of surface layer dead skin and vellus hair on the face.
Service Description
Dermaplaning is a form of physical exfoliation that is performed using a surgical steel blade. It is performed monthly to remove dead skin cells and debris, while making the skin smooth and free of vellus hair. The build-up of dead skin cells and unwanted hair can make complexion appear dull and flaky, as well as causing blockages from clogged pores. Removing epidermal tissue allows product to penetrate deeper into the epidermis and may increase the effectiveness of masks and active ingredients. (Recommended before laser and chemical peels) Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types, we find that clients with sun damage, fine lines, and dry skin all benefit from our Dermaplaning treatments. There is no downtime apart from a little redness afterwards. We also recommend that care is taken in using any SPF products after Dermaplaning. This treatment includes double cleanse, skin analysis, enzyme exfoliation, extraction, dermaplane, toner, serum, moisturizer and SPF.
